Children's Online Privacy Protection Act

In complying with the Regulatory Alert, 01-RA 07, Northern Piedmont Federal Credit Union has established the following policy to adhere to the required action taken.

Northern Piedmont FCU is operating a general website that is not designated to directed to children under the age of 13, that requests or collects personal information for the purpose of other than reasonably necessary to maintain their account with Northern Piedmont Federal Credit Union.

Parental Consent

In requesting that the youth member (under age 13) account be activated for access to the web banking services, a Terms and Conditions Disclosure must be signed and dated by the parent or legal guardian of the account owner in order for web banking privileges to be granted.

Parent or Legal Guardian may request the information that is collected from the account holder by written request. The Parent/Guardian may review the information and refuse to permit further collection and use of such information. The Parent/Guardian must request in writing that the service be discontinued.
